Water Supply Concerns = Change of Crop?

What crop can you grow if you will be limited on water?

• Shorter season varieties like AAC Succeed VB or Bill Coors 100 may allow you to stop watering earlier since they are up to a week shorter season vs some other varieties.
• Switching to a different crop type such as barley, pea, lentil, or chickpea 
• Using triticale for forage or feed since its more of a scavenger vs wheats
• Planing for fall crops such as hybrid fall rye or winter triticale or winter wheat so they can take advantage of early season moisture from snow. 
• Rye is the most moisture efficient cereal crop and they hybrids can come back from stress and still do well.
