Seed treating is in full swing with 3-10 pickups per day. I think there may be a few people trying to seed a few acres this week.
For those wanting to take advantage of the feed barley markets, we have AB Cattlelac 6 Row Barley (top yields for grain & a semi-smooth awn for forage use) or CDC Austenson 2 Row Barley an industry standard.
The feed wheat market is high as well and soft wheats are flexible in use.
AAC Awesome VB General Purpose soft wheat is a top yielding GP class that can be used for feed, ethanol & forage. If you use AFSC crop insurance don't forget to elect for the class of soft wheat you are growing!
AAC Paramount VB soft wheat is a replacement for AAC Sadash VB. AAC Paramount VB SWSW can be used for milling, distilling, feed, forage & ethanol.

Crop Input Financing:
If you are planning to use FFC crop input financing for next season with us, talk to FCC as some farm corporations need more paperwork so money can be allocated to retailers like us.

We have had continued success with silage, grazing & grain corn from Thunder Seed. http://thunderseed.com/canadian-seed/

CDC Dorado Yellow Flax
CDC Dorado is a newer Yellow or Golden Flax variety with top yields and good standability. We find it yields like a Brown, stands as good or better and matures earlier than expected. It has high ALA oil content wanted buy some buyers, a large seed size, and a nice golden seed look.
Last season we were in the mid 60 bu range with this variety but we usually budget on 45-50 bu.
XPT Grain (contracting in all areas of the prairies) is contracting this yellow flax. Chris with XPT: Cell: +1-306-209-7746, Email: email@example.com
Other buyers are also able to buy or contract this top yellow variety.
AAC Marvelous Brown Flax
AAC Marvelous is a new brown variety with top yields and good standability. It also has high oil content desired by some buyers. We stopped growing our other varieties once we had grown this one for a few seasons. Last season we were in the mid 60 bu range with this variety but we usually budget on 45-50 bu.
New To Flax?
We have a one pager on how we grow flax that we send with seed shipments.
