AAC Galore VB Soft GP Wheat
​AAC Galore is a new soft wheat variety that is the result of a cross between AAC Awesome and AC Sadash, 2 great varieties!
  • Overall higher grain yield than AC Andrew (+4%), and Sadash (+12)
  • Significantly higher yielding under dryland: AC Andrew (+5%) and Sadash (+13%)
  • Higher test weight than AC Andrew. · Good resistance to stripe rust and stem rust.
  • ·Intermediate to moderately susceptible reaction to FHB (Improvement over checks)
  • · Maturity equal to AC Andrew and within the range of the checks.
  • Excellent straw strength, similar to AC Andrew and Sadash. · Slightly taller than AC Andrew (9 cm) and Sadash (7 cm)
  • Intermediate resistance to leaf rust.
  • Resistant to orange wheat blossom midge (Sm1 carrier) (Refuge is AC Andrew)
  • Kernel size larger then checks.
  • Protein content similar to checks.
  • Susceptible to common bunt
  • AAC Galore was created from the cross AAC Awesome//Sadash/SWS439 (L16022) made at the Lethbridge Research and Development Centre in Lethbridge, Alberta in 2016
