We are cleaning AAC Wheatland VB HRSW Wheat and moving into AAC Paramount VB Soft Wheat next. Many varieties are ready for pickup or close (awaiting testing) if you want to get seed home now. We are able to treat in the winter, but aim for above 0 C temps.
Sales have been very busy and some varieties or crops will be sold out before Christmas. Seed conversions have been earlier and busier than normal this year which has been why I have been slow sending out these emails and updating the website. Pre-Pay Our pre-pay discount date is Dec 15th, we do have a number of invoices to send out and on most of these we are waiting on final seed treat pricing before sending them. Keep in mind we do 5% off on pre-pays of inoculant and seed treat. Seed this season ranges from $0.50-$2 per bu depending on crop type for pre-pay discounts invoiced before Dec 15th. Fabelle Faba Bean New Crop Contracts Faba Canada is currently contracting new crop Fabelle faba beans at $14 per bu picked up in your yard. For irrigation acres they will price the whole crop 85-100 bu per ac at $14 at your yard with an act of God allowing you to secure your entire crop at current prices! They are also contracting other areas of the prairies as well. Faba beans fix 30% more N vs. peas, are not susceptible to aphanomyces root rot and stand well. Fabelle yields about 5-20% above other varieties of faba beans depending on area. Check out Alberta Pulse Growers Commission RVT App for details. Brad Goudy of Faba Canada: 780-803-2240 [email protected] Bill Coors 100 Malt Barley New Crop MolsonCoors irrigated malt barley contract price sounds like it will be around $10 per bu on new crop on whole crop on irrigation, picked up in your yard. Cody Shick (Montana & AB rep) 406-697-3838 [email protected] North of Highway 1 & in SK Canada Malt is contracting Bill Coors 100 also. Bill Coors 100 will yield like a feed type, be up to 5 days earlier, stand well, and tillers well so lower seeding stands are used. Mustard Seed New crop contracts look pretty attractive for mustard and we have seed available in sizes of 50 lb, 500 kg and 1000 kg bag sizes. Our website is not fully up to date with each variety..
