Proclaim CL lentil has been on the market for a few seasons now. It is still the top yielding small red lentil and contrary to seed guide reports it is actually the best variety to grow.
For those not familiar with lentils, it can be grown with lower moisture than other pulse crops but may require more management as well for disease and or harvest of low crop if dry. Seeding rates are normally 60 lbs per ac to target 14 plants per square foot and it can be cheaper than peas for seed costs per acre bu half.
