We are back in the field doing some deep ripping and aim to do more Edge application later in the week as it dries up. We are cleaning seed and have some seed lots that are tough when we expected them to be fine so we are putting them on air. Check your bins! Seed Quality Concerns in Western Canada Seed quality will be a concern this winter. Bookings are up and recently I had a call for 12,000 bu of wheat seed from someone who does not normally buy that much. So book what you need as soon as you can! Soft wheat is a big concern for supply and most other crop types will be hot as well. We will have early pay discounts available until December 15th. See the bottom of this email for our listings of varieties available. Yield was lower than some of our other fields but that is normal for the field it was on (moving fields next season). Falling numbers has been an issue in some areas this season and our trial shows some differences. For yield trial varieties available now Landmark VB and Redberry did very well. Viewfield is still our most popular variety. Next season Wheatland VB, Leroy VB and RedNet will be available. We will have some Leroy VB available this season to do a few trials prior to launch year.
