• Awnless
  • Perfect for green feed, swath grazing, bale grazing, spring/summer grazing, mixes, silage
• Tall height similar to the AB Windchill

AB Windchill - New 2026

• Registered as a grain, top yields, 4% over existing older varieties
• Excellent for forage, 6% over existing older varieties
• Stands better vs. existing varieties (other than Tadeus)
• Tall height (similar to TriCal Arctic but slightly shorter versus some older triticale in the market)
• Wheat quality silage as the head to stem ratio is different versus taller
• Reduced awn

• Marketed as a forage
• Stands excellent and is short stature vs our other varieties.
• It has yielded as well as hybrid rye in some situations

Winter Trit Survival Plan for 2026
This year was a tough year for winter triticale. Seeding depth & date had more to do with survival than variety it seemed, even on our farm. In our demo plots Arctic (formerly EXP 209) was a thinner plant stand vs Tadeus and AB Windchill (all seeded Sept 18 2026 at 30 plants per sq' and on the shallow side)
