Spring Triticale & SWSW/GP Wheat Forage Results

Blair took the Wheat and Spring Triticale plots off on August 6th at the soft dough stage.

TriCal Surge Spring Triticale took - forage victory this year.

It is an awnless variety that is great for silage and greenfeed. The great thing about a triticale is they can handle more adverse conditions and drought beets due to the more fibrous root system vs wheat crops.

Keep in mind the actual number in this chart is not as important as the relative value compared to other varieties under the same conditions.
